Hey, my name is Matteo Calzolai

I am an 18-year-old freshman at St. John’s University in Queens, NY, with a passion for photography and videography. My photography journey began a year and a half ago and has quickly become an art form I deeply love. For most of my life, I focused on playing sports. However, during my senior season, I sustained a knee injury that put my athletic career on pause. What initially seemed like a setback turned out to be a blessing in disguise. That time away from the field allowed me to discover a new passion, and I’ve never looked back. Through my lens, I strive to capture the beauty in the everyday moments that often go unnoticed.
